Privacy Policy

Effective: January 1, 2025 ยท Last updated: July 2, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how TripWallet ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile application. We've written it in plain language โ€” if anything is unclear, email us at gocellularfix@gmail.com.

What we collect

TripWallet is designed to keep sensitive data on your device. Here's exactly what we do and don't collect:

โœ… Your medical card, emergency contacts, Travel Vault documents, and boarding pass data are stored only on your device. They are never uploaded, never sent to AI, and never synced to any server.

What we do NOT collect

How we use your information

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-party services

TripWallet uses the following third-party services:

Data security

Data in transit uses HTTPS/TLS encryption. Sensitive data (medical card, PIN-protected vault contents) lives only on your device and is not transmitted to any server.

We do not claim bank-level or military-grade encryption for local storage. Data is stored locally using the device's native storage mechanisms.

Security Center & External Activity Log

TripWallet's Security Center contains an External Activity Log โ€” a visible, on-device record of every time the app has opened an external resource (phone dialer, browser, or email client). This log is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to us. It exists so you always know exactly what TripWallet has done on your behalf.

TripWallet holds no permission to place phone calls (no CALL_PHONE permission). The SOS feature opens your device's dialer with a number pre-filled; you place the call. The app never opens banking apps or payment services.

AI scanning disclaimer

Translations, price estimates, and receipt totals generated by AI are approximations to help you make informed decisions โ€” they are not guaranteed to be accurate. Always verify important figures independently.

Emergency & embassy information

Emergency numbers and embassy/consulate details included in Travel Help are provided for convenience and may change. Always verify critical information locally on arrival. TripWallet is not a substitute for official emergency services.

Children's privacy

TripWallet is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at gocellularfix@gmail.com.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
